Terms and Conditions

These General Terms and Conditions (Terms) apply to all orders placed via ecopass and all domains under which the service is offered.

1. Provider

2. Status of the provider

We are a private ordering service. We do not issue stickers. The German environmental sticker (Umweltplakette) is issued by an authorised issuing body in Germany, and the Crit'Air sticker by the competent French authority.

3. Service

Based on the information you provide, we check your details, submit the application to the competent body on your behalf and ensure that the sticker is delivered to you by post at the address provided. For the Crit'Air sticker, you will also receive proof by email. The classification (sticker colour or Crit'Air category) is determined solely by the issuing body; the information on our website is non-binding.

4. Ordering

You enter the vehicle details, a copy of the vehicle registration certificate where applicable, and your delivery and contact details. Before completing the order, you see a summary of all details and the total price. By clicking “Order with obligation to pay”, you submit a binding offer; the contract is concluded upon our confirmation by email. Your confirmation of the mandatory fields is stored with a timestamp.

5. Prices and payment

The total price displayed at the time of ordering applies. It includes the issuing body’s fee, our service fee, statutory VAT and shipping. No further costs are incurred. Payment is made via the payment service provider shown on the payment page.

6. Performance and delivery

We begin processing without delay once payment has been received. Stated delivery times are estimates and depend on the issuing body and the postal service. If the issuing body rejects the application (e.g. because the vehicle is not eligible for a sticker), we will refund the amount paid less any fees already charged by the issuing body.

7. Your obligations

You are responsible for the accuracy of your information, in particular the registration number, country of registration, vehicle details and delivery address. We accept no liability for the consequences of incorrect information. The sticker is valid only for the vehicle specified.

8. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the conclusion of the contract. To exercise it, send us a clear statement by email or post; you may use the model form below. The right of withdrawal expires once we have fully performed the service and you have previously given your express consent for us to begin before the end of the withdrawal period. It also does not apply to goods made to your specifications: the sticker is printed with your registration number. In the event of a valid withdrawal, we will refund payments within 14 days using the original means of payment.

9. Contact and complaints

Our customer service can be reached by email (see Contact); please state the registration number and the order date. We review complaints and respond in writing. For disputes, the conciliation body competent for the provider’s registered office is: Pest Megyei Békéltető Testület, Balassi Bálint utca 25. IV/2., H-1055 Budapest, [email protected]. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board in your country of residence.

10. Liability

We are not liable for the decisions and processing times of the issuing body or the postal service. Liability for intent, gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health remains unaffected.

11. Final provisions

Hungarian law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected (Art. 6 Rome I Regulation). These Terms are available in German, French, Dutch, English and Hungarian; the language of your order is authoritative. We may amend these Terms with effect for future orders.
